Dr. David “Dave” Crouch

Dr. David Crouch has earned two post-graduate degrees (Doctorates in Chiropractic and Communication Psychology); is a Certified Master Practitioner and Trainer of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (SWANLP); a Master Hypnotherapist; and has extensive training in the fields of peak performance improvement and communication excellence: He’s studied with co-developers of NLP, and eminent associates of the late Milton H. Erickson, MD. Clients have included professional sports teams, and Olympic athletes.
In addition to his formal training, he has studied and worked extensively with a number of mind-body disciplines seeking to further understand, utilize, and disseminate the practical dimensions of supra-mental connections to the martial arts. As a Black Belt Instructor and specialist in sports biomechanics, Dave continues to coach human movement dynamics in self-defense, & works as a peak performance trainer throughout the US and Europe.

Dr. Crouch started his martial arts training in 1971 in Kenpo and jujitsu, and has been training and teaching since. His training includes American, Hawaiian, and Chinese Kenpo; Elua Lima, Japanese and Brazilian Jujutsu; Judo; Aikijujutsu; Tien Shan Pai Kung Fu; Kenjutsu; Taekwondo; Shorinji Kempo; American and Muay Thai Kickboxing; ARNIS, and more. Having worked in club and private security for 15 years, he also brings a wealth of practical street experience to the training mat.
He has studied Kenpo with Four West Coast Teachers — Robert Perry, Bob White, Edmund K. Parker, and Dr. Ron Chapél —and currently remains a student of Dr. Chapél.
Dr. David Crouch was a featured instructor at our 2019 Winter Self Defense Seminar, and he has served as a UMASDA Advisor since 2018.
