Curriculum

What Curriculum do we Teach?

Our coursework is modeled after the modern collegiate system, and is organized into four groups of courses designed to progressively increase in difficulty to match the student's growing skill set developed over time. Drawing on the experience of several of our lineage predecessors enables us to pull the best of each of the mother systems and include it in our Self Defense focused approach to learning. Most of our upline training history has included self defense as a component, whereas we are exclusively focused to that end. Our Coursework is comprised of selected techniques from American & Chinese Kenpo systems, Aikijujitsu, Taiji, with basics that serve to drive comprehension and information retention.

How do students access coursebooks?

All of our curriculum coursebooks are distributed via Dropbox in Adobe PDF format. Also available on the Dropbox are the required student materials: Schedules, Written Exams, Coursework Checklists, etc. Once you have signed up for Dropbox via the link above, please contact your instructor to be added to the requisite folders.

How is the Coursework organized?

Each course requires a minimum number of "lab hours," or actual physical time spent training material. For students who come to train with us with significant previous experience, progress is usually quicker than normal and a waiver of up to half the lab hours requirement is available under specific guidelines. Our programs are designed to develop a unique skill set found nowhere else in the martial arts community. We have access to resources unavailable to the general public that enables us to gather real time statistics for what the attack % are in our community. What this enables us to do is to structure our coursework to address the most common attacks FIRST in our curriculum, followed sequentially as shown by our research by the next most common, and so forth throughout each sequentially advancing course level. Each course level has a “theme” and deals with a specific type of attack. Once the basic and intermediate courses have been completed, the advanced courses then deal with combinations of the combat models found in the preceding coursework, and adds multiple attacker scenarios to up the intensity level. More information is available in the Members Site.
